Just joking. It's a fun little meme, but there is no chance it will really be the next expansion for World of Warcraft. But what WILL be? Well, as I alluded to before, it has to be something big. But that's a no brainer. Let's get into specifics.
The title: This can be fucking anything of course, but no harm comes from educated guesses. For instance four out of seven expansions so far had three word titles. It seems like the most popular choice.
The story: Well some swear that the story will be about dragons, but most likely it will be about death.
Somebody who wasn't Bwonsamdi, Helya or the Lich King, tricked Vol'Jin into electing Sylvanas as Warchief.
Bwonsamdi has an unknown boss.
Sylvanas wants all to serve death.
Tyrande and Genn want Sylvanas' head on a plate before they agree to any kind of peace.
8.3 has an encrypted video with Bolvar, four datamined swords for death knights and even NPC models for Pandaren death knights.
All of these point to death being a pretty strong theme as we go foward. We might cross paths with multiple death deities. And judging by her opposition to the sun god the tauren worship as the holy light, and the look and powers of the night warrior, I can't help but suspect Elune might be one of those death gods. Maybe THE death god.
The race: Will we even get a race? Sure. We still need allied race versions for Worgen and Forsaken. A lot of fans take Light Undead as a given. Hopefully that's not the case. Considering Azshara is still alive, got rid of N'Zoth and is against Sylvanas as of 8.3 I don't think playable Naga are out of the question. They were considered for Vanilla and they are probably the most requested race. Finally adding them would earn a lot of fan goodwill, and god nows, Blizzard can use that nowadays.
The class: Some doubt we will get a new class because the others need some work as well, but we seem to get a class every second expansion, so it's time for another. And despite what Tinker or Dragonsworn fans say, I'm fairly certain it will be Dark Rangers.
Hero classes are edgelords with two word names, with the first beginning with D. Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Dark Ranger.
Hero classes area fight fire with fire affair. DK against the Scourge, DH against the Legion. Now, we go against Sylvanas, who is THE dark ranger.
Dark Rangers other than female undead high elf, keep poping up in BfA. We have male night elves as well.
The feature: Old World Revamp. Sure, we did this before, but both the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor are such a huge clusterfuck, that it needs to be done again. Especially for Tirisfal, Duskwood, Gilneas, Darkshore and Silithus. Also the Draenei and Blood Elf starting areas need a proper update. But visually and gameplay wise.
Of course I might be wrong abut all of this, but I'm ready for that. We will have our asnwer soon.
